Le Labo Rose 31 & Frederic Malle French Lover

Well well well...the search for the signature scent. Much like the signature move which can alter your cool factor for LYF (life)! The signature perfume can also have a profound effect on your overall awesomeness, not to mention making you a generally exciting person to smell which is always nice. Especially when people are like "hey lets invite Matisse to this cool function she smells so gooood." (I know thats how people think).

Anyway the search is over I have narrowed it down to two beautiful and different smells. Trust me it was hard work and my nose was seriously enraged by the end of the process...but it came down to Rose 31 by Le Labo which is supposed to be for men but in my opinion (and the opinions of many) is perfect for the female specimen trust me its one sexy everyday fragrance. My second choice was for my dreamy, inner hippie...French Lover by Frederic Malle (this french thing is getting out of hand). Its delicate and sensual and smells so bloody good. You end up smelling like a beautiful guru who spends all day rolling in pachouli and meditating in some cedar trees. Which sounds damn fine to me.

So my wonderful nose (it needs encouragement after what I put it through today) did all the selecting and of course not only do I have expensive taste but apparently my nose does too and I picked "investment" perfume. But I don't care I love them and I'm sure my rad friends will too. PEACE

So it seems like I'm having a bit of a French moment at the moment...which is not hard to believe because I'm pretty much always having a French moment I'm a bit of a wanker like that. Don't even get me started on fromage bro.

THE WORD IS JACQUEMUS and to me it symbolises effortless young Parisian cool and also a sexy sexy pretty french man. Two things that most women aspire to have.

Theres something about the clothes that doesn't seem forced, its true and thats something I'm always looking for in fashion, because its timeless and REAL. Thats when we move from FASHION to STYLE. And yes it helps that the designer is devastatingly beautiful and my age... gasp. sigh. collapse. Anyway the clothes and the man speak for them selves. Enough said. shut up.

Today I did two puzzles...while babysitting this morning I did a four piece Thomas the Tank Engine block puzzle.

And in the evening I was systematically taking tiny zoomed in pictures off the Carven website and piecing them together, in order to create the badly proportioned picture above.

So I went through the pain of pasting a pasty ankle on to a pasty calf...and then I went to sleep and dreamt my feet were amputated.

Awesome.

I was totally harsh when I saw this particular Prada collection and I still think its a bit much.

Well I've had rather a good couple of days finished my Uni exams hurray!!!! Finally got my drivers licence and today I purchased a really cute 90's Fendi Jacket and a Russh HURRAY.

Note: The drivers licence is kind of a big deal for me, in NSW you have to drive for 120 hours before you can drive by yourself, but I got my L's before that rule cam in (3 years ago, eek) so I only had to do 50....But.....my licence expires on the 30th of June so it was a mad race to get my licence before I had to renew it, and thus do 120 hideous hours. Lucky me I passed.

Went down to a local beach to take some photos of my beautiful (fully related) little sister, for her to send into a modelling agency. Shes only young but very smart and very determined so I hope for her sake everything works out.

Maybe got a little bit carried away by the beautiful beaches, and the fabulous winter lighting.

Note: the whole Bassike thing is getting a tad radiculous considering it seems like thats all I own, its just coincidence that I happen to take photos when I'm wearing their clothes. It also helps that I live incredibly close to a Bassike store.

Went to Bondi markets today, got these fabulous Lady Gaga/Versace sunglasses.

I also tried on all of the Ksubi jeans that I posted, but I decided to suppress my desire to spend thousands of dollars on jeans and wait for the Ksubi Balmainesque ones to come in (I've got to wait till August, I think I can do it, deep breathing will be required).

Isn't it nice when a really expensive pair of jeans (ie Balmain) gets sort of copyed by a less expensive brand of Jeans (Ksubi)

Its also a plus when you sort of need a new pair of jeans.....

....and you sort of live close to the Ksubi Store. I Heart Ksubi so much for this....

Ksubi Jeans

So due to the sad sad sad news that winter is upon me I am being forced to find some beautiful jeans for the cold. (I'm beginning to regret all the gloating I did a few months ago about how hot and sunny it was).
